Our Story
The Problem Discovery
medAstra started from a simple realization: a successful surgery can still end in a failed recovery. Patients go home with medications, supplies, and pages of instructions, then manage the hardest stretch alone. The moment they leave the office, the practice loses visibility, and small missed steps quietly turn into complications.
The Translation
We had spent our careers building standardized biomedical kits and clinical data platforms for some of the most demanding research settings, including human spaceflight studies, where there is no room for error and every step has to be clear. We saw the same failure everywhere in recovery on Earth: not because patients don’t want to follow instructions, but because the instructions are too complex for real life.
The Solution
Today, medAstra makes recovery reliable and measurable. We replace scattered instructions and loose supplies with one connected system: engineered kits that sequence exactly what a patient needs, juno for day-by-day digital guidance branded to the practice, and verification that confirms each step is actually carried out. Every interaction becomes structured recovery data, so clinics finally have a clear view of how patients are doing after they leave.
